Rickchelle W., our first McNair Heights homeowner, closed on her home in August, while also making sure that the final nail in her home was securely hammered into place. For Rickchelle and Habitat, it was a momentous occasion, marking yet another milestone in the development and construction of this new neighborhood - all as our next round of homeownership applications opened Sept. 1 and will be open through Sept. 30.
For the second year, Habitat Goldsboro-Wayne held a construction camp for youth in our community. But this year we did it even bigger and better with the camp expanding to two weeks and to include more students than before!

Habitat is now taking applications for home repairs in both Wayne and Lenoir counties. These repair projects will focus primarily on critical roof repairs and replacements.

Volunteers are our backbone. Without your hands and feet, homes across Wayne County would go unbuilt. Consider giving us a few hours of your time, whether on construction, in the ReStore or in the office to help change the lives of local families forever.
